We thank God that He has made sure to make all our crusades
to date memorable. Imire Farm in Marondera is the first place in Zimbabwe where
the Spiritual Movement Crusaders Tent was first raised! Oldman said, “Youth,
I’ve provided the truck, you, buy the tent.” That wish of his has finally come
true and this tent is the first of many.

This crusade was peculiar because of the way it started. One
of our pastors had visited the Game Park and there he met the wife of the
owner. She asked the pastor if at his church, there was someone who could help
the many young people at her farm. They were deeply involved in drugs and early
pregnancies were a common occurrence. She then asked the pastor if there was
another pastor, preferably young, who could lead the young people to Jesus! She
was overjoyed when he said there was and asked to see him. She then visited our
home in Marondera and had a meeting with the man of God, our leader, the
Reverend P.D. Zinyama.
The eagerly awaited crusade day arrived and the Team was
dispatched that morning to go prepare the tent. The Team was all made up of
amateurs with only one of us having experience in erecting tents. We went there
with an experienced man from the tent company who taught us how to raise a
tent. When the tent was finished, we could only praise God. The tent stood at
the center of a football field with a forest background and was a beautiful
sight to see. When the time for service arrived, many of the farm people came
because they had been coerced by the farm owner, who just wanted them to be
saved. As a result, no one accepted Christ that day. On the next day, those who
came were not forced, but genuinely came to spend some time in the presence of
God and as a result, people accepted Christ. This taught us that God does not
need the assistance of man in order to save people. The rest of the days which
followed we saw the glory of God as people kept on surrendering their lives to
God.
This is also the first time we
used our Unlimited Power Source at a crusade. It uses solar rechargeable
batteries and is much quieter when in use than the generator. it almost failed
us on the first day when it would not switch on. We then had to aske the far
owner for an electric power source to jumpstart the UPS. It then switched on
and we ran to start the crusade!
We also raised funds by selling
food in the form of egg, beef and rib burgers with drinks. We also sold our
crusade gear which comprised of t-shirts and caps with the Spiritual Movement
logo.
