MUTARE CRUSADE REPORT
Date: Friday 13 – Sunday
15 November 2020
Mutare The Crusade was the first major crusade ever held in
a city by Spiritual Movement Crusade. Quoting Rev. P.D. Zinyama’s words, he
said, “This crusade will teach us how to evangelize and preach in big cities.”
Looking back now after the Marondera Crusade, we appreciate the time we had in

The Team arrived in Mutare on Wednesday to make
final preparations for this Crusade.
·
When I look back now, I can see that it only
could be the Holy Spirit which was leading us to do these things because we had
never been taught to do this.
·
The two services we had there can be likened to
a pep talk a coach gives before a match. That’s what it felt for us!
·
On Thursday, the day before the Crusade, the
Team visited the Mutare Provincial Hospital and was given permission to pray
for the sick, those who would permit us, that is.
·
These two days helped us prepare spiritually for
what lied ahead because Reverend had warned a week back that the Devil was
going to fight this crusade.
The first Mutare Mhere-Mhere was
held Friday afternoon in the Chikanga locations. Due to the large number of
youth available, the Outreach was very effective and energetic as we moved
around the area with a ‘motorcade’. In the middle of the motorcade was the
Crusade Truck which carried our sound system, MC’s and preachers. The first
service was going to be a special service for the youth and would start at
4:30pm. The last Mhere-Mhere was done in the Sakubva location and its
surrounding areas. The most memorable day is Saturday, the second day of the
Crusade. There, Reverend preached on the new temple. He emphasized that when a
person is saved from sin, they are given the Holy Spirit to guide them wherever
they may go. That day many souls accepted Christ. Until that day I had never
known that people could rejoice in such a manner when an altar call was made. To
this day, it remains one of the most unforgettable moments in a crusade, when I
witnessed human beings, regardless of their church affiliation glorified God in
unison.
In this crusade we sold breakfast
and lunch to our biggest customers: the members of the Spiritual Movement
Crusade. We also sold crusade t-shirts.
