Cluster Evangelism

On the 7th day of June, we went for evangelism in Wedza. Mr. Chigede started to preach about how we should live without searching for the pleasures of this world, and Mrs. Nyamutakwa gave her testimony of how God saved her from sin. After that, we went to Goto turnoff where Mrs. Nyamutakwa led the opening prayer, and then Sr Delight gave her testimony of how God saved her from an evil life she was living. After Sr Delight’s testimony Mrs. Chigede shared the word of God. Afterwards, we went to the settlement Centre and when some people saw us, they asked us to preach to them and we obliged. Our final destination, we went to the bus terminus where Ngakudzwe gave his testimony about how God save him from sinning. Baba Chigede gave the word of God. God’s authority was shown when he denounced a young man who wanted to fight God, the bystanders joined in and denounced him, saying We want to hear the Word of God. They asked us to come again to preach to them. We prayed for 2 sick people.

Individual Evangelism

Mrs. Chigede: One Friday, I boarded a bus from Wedza to Chad. I was so thrilled to see high school students. I started preaching and one girl who was beside me even said “let me carry your bag.” When I finished preaching, I prayed, and they clapped their hands. I had read from the book of Timothy chapter 3 vs 1- and preached about the sin of doing masturbation and watching pornography and that many are desiring the pleasures of sinning rather than living for God. When I was done, I made an alter call and a call for healing.  There was an elderly man who was drinking beer and said First, pray for me. The school children started raising their hands signaling their desire to receive Christ, so I ended up praying for them in pairs because there were many.  After I was done more students who were seated at the backseat started saying, “please pray for me because you didn't pray for us.” At the end, one man asked for my phone number.  That day, I failed to count the number of people who accepted Christ because there were so many.

Mrs. Nyamutakwa: On the 21st of June, I failed to catch the bus, but I walked on foot to the cross with Anotida. The cross is a place where everyone from the surrounding farms can get transport easily. Upon our arrival there we started preaching. Amongst the people there was a man a Pastor from Mugodhi Apostolic Church. I was afraid to preach while he was around, but because he found me already preaching, I kept on preaching.

He got out of his car and started to walk about where I was. I heard God saying denounce the spirit of feeling entitled to live in adultery and the spirit of theft. I started to denounce these spirits in a big way. I then saw the Pastor turning back to his car and he drove away. I thank God because he usually shouts at us when we are preaching. At one time, he shouted at Mai Chigede and another time, he shouted at me whilst we were preaching.

Sister Delight: On the 28th of May, I went to the school Chapel where I saw some girls singing, and wanting to pray, so I asked to preach to them and I preached about when you are a child of God, you do what He tells you to do. I also gave a testimony about my life that through Jesus I was saved from lying and stealing. Two other primary school children came and joined in, and they looked like they were listening attentively. Some of the others were very quiet, nodding their heads. Another form six student who was there when I preached came to me saying that l was supposed to fast and I ate, so I am going to fast on Friday. So, after I preached, we prayed and went back for lessons.

Mr. Chigede and Mrs. Chigede: On May 17th Mr. Chigede and his wife boarded Phil's and Parts bus to Chard.  Mr. Chigede started preaching on the bus about the woman who was caught adultery and Jesus asked anyone without sin to throw the first stone. They all went away leaving the woman with Jesus who told the woman to go and sin no more. Mai Chigede was Interceding and Mr. Chigede gave a testimony of his life where he smoked marijuana when he was in Primary school. Two men who were at the back tried to make noise while they were drinking beer. He raised his voice and they became silent. There were 2 ladies who were converted that day. One was convicted whilst Mai Chigede was testifying to her one on one and another during the open-air bus preaching by Mr. Chigede
