Evangelism
report by Sister Hope
I'm thrilled to share the experiences l had
this quarter during evangelism.
Evangelism
at work: I want to thank God for enabling me to
continue preaching at my workplace despite facing challenges. I faced
challenges because some of my workmates started to say l preach about
them. It got to a point where some of them stopped attending devotions, some
would leave the premises just as l would be gathering people so as to begin our
daily devotion. Others would not respond to the invitation as a result they
would not join us. For me I took it as "Mafuta ekuzora" I did not
stop l would preach to those who were willing to hear from God. On the other
hand, quite a number would appreciate my preaching saying it was helping them
even if they were struggling to live up to its standard. This experience
brought growth in my spiritual life. It helped me to understand that God does
not look for numbers but wants Holy people. Moreover, it brought out the fact that I worship a big God and that no
one stands in His way and succeeds.
Praying
for the sick: I had the opportunity to pray for the
sick people we would be transporting to hospital in the Ambulance. Sometimes l
would firstly preach to the patient we would be carrying to the hospital and
then pray for them. It was a great experience and I felt the power of God.
Evangelism
in public transportation: I would preach in taxis,
buses and combis. I remember one memorable experience I had on one of the days.
l told the driver that I would like to share about Christ, a man behind me
objected saying " No please we have had enough of you people allow us to
be in peace we want to hear music" but without fear feeling the power of
God l said if it's you who doesn't want then just don't listen, you have no
power to stop me. He replied " you are saying that. l reported some of
your fellow preachers to the police, l will take you too if you preach."
Despite his threats I preached. The passengers in the combi were grateful for the message l
shared.
One
on one conversations: I would do one on one
evangelism when I was with people from different departments at work or even
whilst walking on the road on my way to Church and work. On one occasion
one person received Christ. In some offices I would visit to preach people
refused to hear more when l would just say have you ever heard about
spiritual Movement? I remember in one of the offices they kicked me out of their
office.
This quarter, I have testified more than
before, mainly highlighting how I struggled with masturbation, indecent
dressing. I was clear on the aspect of not being ashamed of the gospel.
