Harare July 2025 Quarterly Evangelism Report

Harare Evangelism Report
2nd Quarter 2025

Period: April to July 2025

This Quarter we have experienced a greater zeal for preaching the word of God than ever before and this is all thanks to the Europe Tour we had. From the beginning, the Captain told us to be faithful in preaching and to know that our preaching directly affected the missionary effort in Europe. As the Tour went on, especially after the introduction of live services in our Assembly, our preaching went to another level! We daresay that we have been faithful to God in this aspect as our Report shall show.

·       Courtney John: She is around 4 years old and she preaches at her school. One day, her mother was confronted by five young men between the ages of 19 – 25 years who asked her if they could come to church, Courtney had preached to them! The mother does not even know what exactly her daughter said that convicted these men, it can only be the power of the Holy Spirit!

·       Mrs. John: Courtney’s mom also preaches in every car she boards. She also preaches at a shopping complex near her workplace (Belgravia). One day, she was approached by a man, who asked to see her after she had finished preaching. Always careful not to fall into fornication, Mrs. John listened carefully to what he wanted to say. To her surprise, he told her he had heard her preach for a long time and was amazed because he had also tried to do open air evangelism many times in the past unsuccessfully. He was highly encouraged by what she was doing!

·       Theophilous Chiwade: He was told to preach at his workplace almost daily by the Holy Spirit. This Quarter, he preached denouncing people who used witchcraft and black magic to secure their jobs at the bakery where he works. He prophesied that God would remove these people to show that the bakery was a holy place. Now, it is around three weeks down the line, and four people have left or resigned under very odd circumstances from the bakery. He sees it as a fulfilment of God’s prophecy.

·       Desire Chinyanga: He preaches whilst doing his job as a salesman. The Holy Spirit chooses the place where he preaches. One of the days, he preached at Halfway Round-About shops along Bulawayo Road and there was a standstill and people surrounded him in their numbers and listened to the word of God. Around seven people were saved that day!

·       Tinayeishe Magorimbo: One day, during a street evangelism service in the CBD, a man approached him and asked him if suicidal deaths were judged differently from normal deaths. Tinaye then started talking to him and after some time the man then said openly that he wanted to commit suicide that day because he thought he was unable to shoulder life’s responsibilities. However, the miracle happened unseen, because after discussing for a while with Tinaye about the matter, the man then interjected and told Tinaye he had to run home because it was getting late and he could have a problem finding transport. All the talk of suicide had disappeared, and he was now heading home!

These stories are just sneak previews of how the power of God has worked through us this Quarter. As the Evangelist said, “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” Glory be to God!
