University of Zimbabwe April 2025 Evangelism Report

UZ Evangelism Report 1st Quarter Introduction:

The first quarter of the year has been a period of growth, challenges, and divine favor for the UZ Evangelism team. Despite the academic demands faced by members, the work of spreading the Gospel has continued with great impact, fueled by the anointing of God through Rev. Zinyama.

Key Highlights:

1. New Consistent Members:

We welcomed 4 new consistent members who have joined the evangelism efforts. o These members acknowledge that the power behind our preaching is not our strength but the anointing from the Man of God, Rev. Zinyama.

2. Expansion of Outreach:

A new preaching location was added on Wednesdays, targeting a place with many staff members. o Despite opposition (notably from one mother who protested against women wearing trousers and tried to disrupt the session), we remained steadfast and continued ministering there.

3. Hostel Evangelism & Academic Balance:

Night evangelism in the hostels has been impactful, with preaching occurring 2-3 t imes daily. o Some have questioned how we balance this with our studies (especially those in Medicine and Pharmacy), yet by God’s grace, we are excelling both spiritually and academically.

4. Growth in Evangelism Quality:

New members have shown significant improvement in their approach—moving from merely sharing Bible information to also testifying about their personal encounters with God, making the message more relatable and powerful. Additionally, we have witnessed an inspiring development—some individuals who were not previously involved in evangelism have started preaching on their own. When they came to us, they confessed that our dedication and boldness motivated them to begin spreading the Word.

Conclusion:

We are grateful for the progress made this quarter and acknowledge that it is only by God’s grace and the prayers of the church that we stand strong. The challenges we face only strengthen our resolve, and the testimonies of changed lives confirm that the Gospel is powerful. We thank the church for their continued prayers and support—it fuels our mission. As we move forward, we trust God for even greater harvests on campus. To God Be All the Glory! — UZ Evangelism Team
