BULAWAYO
ASSEMBLY EVANGELISM REPORT
Preached at his work
place a bakery, sharing the message about salvation. As he concluded with a
prayer, he felt an unexpected prompting from God to "dust my feet"
(symbolizing the rejection of those who refuse God's message). He prayed,
"Lord, we have shared Your message in this place regularly, yet some
individuals have rejected You. They are here for financial gain, but You
intended this place to be a hub for salvation, reaching those who yearn for it.
Remove those who have rejected You and open doors for those seeking
salvation." Interestingly, as the quarter drew to a close, he received a
message from his manager informing him that the contracts of some employees who
were present that day would be terminated. This experience reinforced his trust
in God's sovereignty and His desire to reach those who are seeking Him, even in
unexpected places.
Brother Prince:
While preaching at
Bulawayo City Hall, he was assaulted by a young man. The altercation occurred
after he rebuked the young man for fornication, and he responded by demanding
an apology. Additionally, he preached a powerful message to municipal officers
in Plumtree, boldly addressing the issues of bribery and corruption.
Brother Anesu:
Preached in the bakery
about the knowledge of Jesus. Many know Jesus because they have read about His
story, but that is not the knowledge of Jesus. The knowledge of God is
overcoming sin. To my surprise, a Seventh Day Adventist gave his life to Jesus.
Brother Tadiwa:
An old man came and said, "Continue doing that which you're doing. He also said He is preaching the same way." The man had swollen legs, but he was walking. He spoke of three songs which are to be sung in heaven. He spoke in Shona. At one time, early in the morning, God prompted him to pray, and in the midst of the prayer, God told him to preach in the bakery. As he was at work doing deliveries, his workmates were baffled by what was happening, for it was their first time to experience such. He denounced pornography and masturbation severely. He felt it was a way of his salvation from the demon that used to trouble him a lot.
Brother Tendai:
Was at City Hall
terminus, and he was giving a testimony denouncing lust and fornication. He
looked back and saw people engaging in fornication, and God told him to
denounce them. When he did that, they got angry and wanted to beat me. One punch
hit my chest. They wanted to force him to ask for forgiveness, but God said a
sin is a sin, and he stood firm on that which God had said.
Mrs. Nyika:
God told her to
evangelize every Friday at City Hall. Whenever she would go there to preach, she
would see the hand of God. On one of the Friday’s in the morning she was just
preaching, and did not know that someone was paying attention. After she was
done, they came to her and said they wanted to receive Christ, for their
problem was adultery. What was interesting is that he then testified,
confessing the adulterous life he lived and that he was tired of the sin. She
thanked God because she never expected someone to share their testimony after she
had preached. It showed her that God had really touched his life.
Sister Mapfuwa:
On this day, she was at Bulawayo Market place. She was with Mrs. Nyika and Brother Prince. This day, they faced a lot of resistance. We were shouted at and mocked. People were saying, "Do you know Jesus, and have you met Him, and where?" Some were saying, "Use Ndebele." She denounced and rebuked them, saying, "Isono is the sin that troubles you." They responded again, saying, "Don't come back," and threatened to beat us and destroy our car. She responded by saying, "We will keep coming back until you are set free from your sins." It was her first time being rejected, but it didn't affect her, for she preached until she had finished, which was unusual. She thanks God because this removed the fear of preaching from her life, and now she can preach freely. On this day, God helped her to use some Ndebele words which is not her language.
