UNIVERSITY
OF ZIMBABWE EVANGELISM REPORT
This quarter, our evangelistic efforts were primarily
focused on two fronts: day and night evangelism. During the day, our team
ventured into various public spaces, notably Chicken Inn, hostels within the
campus as well as the school bus terminus. Despite initial resistance from
Chicken Inn management, we persevered through dialogue and prayer, ultimately
gaining permission to share the Gospel there.
Our night evangelism involved visiting ALL boys’
hostels on campus. In some instances, we encountered resistance, including a
confrontation with one of our guest preachers. However, with the encouragement
of the team, this individual continued to attend evangelism. Another incident
involved a near-physical altercation, but surprisingly, a student from the same
corridor later approached us secretly, expressing interest in attending church.
It is truly inspiring to witness the dedication of our
members, including two medical students brother Jeffrey and brother Josiah who,
despite their demanding schedules, consistently attended our services and
actively participated in evangelism. Additionally, we welcomed several
individuals from other denominations who were drawn to our Movement due to the
transformative power of the Gospel. One of our members, brother Trust chose to
leave the preaching team to pursue worldly desires. However, we know that God
does not run out of people, so we will continue this good work!!
As we conclude this quarter, we give thanks to God for
His grace and guidance. We look forward to the upcoming year, 2025, with
renewed vigor and a fervent desire to spread the Good News. May the Lord
continue to bless our efforts and grant us wisdom, courage, and perseverance as
we fulfill the Great Commission.
