HARARE
ASSEMBLY EVANGELISM REPORT
DATE: DECEMBER 2024
In
this last Quarter of the year, God made us understand what being spiritually
mature means: Accepting the life we have been given by God. Hereunder, we give
but a brief summary of the lives we have lived, that continue the book of the
Acts of the Apostles.
·
Mai John was told by God to preach to everyone who would be employed at the Deli
where she works. As a result of spiritual maturity, she didn’t hesitate but
preached faithfully to all that were employed. Some would work for one day and
resign, others a few hours and still others for a week but every single one of
them would leave after hearing the word of God from her mouth! Some of the
people who persecuted her were fired while others were imprisoned. Due to the
nature of her workplace, she preached to different nationalities: Philippines,
Nigerians, Koreans, African Americans etc. It is now normal for her to meet
people who address her as “woman of God.” They will have heard her preaching at
Belgravia Shops, an upscale shopping center in Harare.
·
Mhlanga and Chiwade were dragged to court by their indefatigable opponent Anderson
Matibiri. Earlier in the year, they had been led to preach every time they
would go to court. However, all this time they had not realized that they were
on a Crusade – a crusade service that started from the moment they got in a
vehicle to the court and ended when they disembarked from the vehicle that
brought them back. But as their case drew to a close, they accepted the life of
preaching they were being given by God. The result? They were led to preach at
the DDF offices, where numerous elderly people were sitting, after they had
finished their routine Evangelistic service at the court. More than 25 people
came back to God!
·
Mbare Musika Crusade started with a bang this Quarter! It burnt down to ashes. Mr. Kaumbembe
had preached there since June of this year. On the 8th of October,
many people woke up to see the shock of their lives as millions of dollars’
worth of goods went up in smoke. If they had accepted the Word, still the fire
would have taken place but their lives would be in God’s hands. As a display of
His great power and love, Mr. Kaumbembe’s side of the market was left untouched
– just like a modern-day Goshen, where the Israelites had lived before they
started the Exodus to Canaan!!
· Chinyanga was led by God to preach at a particular venue this Quarter. Just
before the start of this Quarter, this location had promised that it would be a
place where the Gospel would be persecuted. However, Chinyanga went there
throughout the Quarter. One time, after he had denounced the sins of robbing
and prostitution, the men who would sometimes oppose them came forward and
confessed that they made a living through robbing people and that the women
that would be there were con-artists.
·
Mrs. Kaumbembe went into a certain kombi / Minibus, one day, and God told her to sit
on the third seat. She obeyed and then preached the word of God. Three people
accepted Christ, of the three, one then started to preach. At first, Mrs.
Kaumbembe thought the man was just trying to make fun of her but as he
continued, she realized that it was the move of the Holy Spirit and that he was
being genuinely used by God. He preached about the Second Coming of Christ and
when Mrs. Kaumbembe got out of the Gospel, he was still preaching. It was so
powerful!!
·
At Damofalls Preaching Point,
the Crusaders who preached there faced persecution this Quarter. On one
occasion, Mrs. Chipfupi was assaulted by a furious prostitute who did not like
her message. On another occasion, a man in a vehicle nearby who had been
listening to Mr. Chipfupi, another Crusader, drove closer and started asking
him questions but Mr. Chipfupi was not fazed and kept on preaching! Another
remarkable incident is when the Crusaders met a former St. Thomas Prison inmate
who sat and listened to them preach. Afterwards, he told them he had lost
contact with our St. Thomas Prison team which had preached in there earlier
this year. What is so remarkable is that the man identified, not the people who
were preaching, for none of them were at St. Thomas Prison, but he identified
the Gospel!!
·
We are also proud of our UZ
and Telone students this Quarter for they were able to invite the Man of
God to their schools so he could preach to their fellow students.
