MUTARE EVANGELISM OCTOBER 2024 QUARTERLY REPORT

MUTARE QUARTERLY STREET EVANGELISM REPORT

JULY TO OCTOBER 2024

Over the past quarter, the youth have been privileged to take the gospel to the streets of our city as usual. The month of July was yet another month we went into the streets, buses and schools preaching and we had some great experiences.

ü  The first encounter was when we had gone to preach at Chigodora Rank. Here at Chigodora rank there was a man who started going against us while we were preaching. The interesting thing we observed on this rank was that the vendors who usually opposed us were very quiet as if they were agreeing with what we were doing. The vendors did not support him and to some extent the guy then looked like a fool.

ü  One other time at Odzi Rank there was a man who heard us preaching, he then came from where he was and sat down in front of the preacher and sat there attentively until we finished.

ü  We have also noticed that there is spiritual growth amongst the youth in the sense that some of the youth boarded a combi and when they started preaching a certain lady said, "Vanhu ava vanondishungurudza." Which means “these people torture me” She then tried to block the preaching by asking the driver to increase volume but the one who was preaching did not stop because of that. The lady covered his mouth but it didn't stop him from preaching. She fought to a point of missing her bus stop but the young youth kept on preaching. Fear is a spirit that everyone is fighting and we are glad God is helping us.

ü  One time when we had gone to preach at Odzi Rank there was a young boy who came and started listening to the word of God. Mrs Matingwina approached him to share about Jesus. The young boy then said it was better for him to be late for school than to lose the powerful message. He testified about his sinful life and how the Holy Spirit had convicted him of his sins but had no power to overcome them. He also mentioned that he is still young and he should use the chance and live for God.

ü  On another day we were at Old Rank and Sister Tsitsi testified to an old man. The old man believed in the gospel but he did not have the power to live a sinless life. He said he is someone who was seeking to live according to Gods word.

ü  One day Brother Tendai and Brother Tavonga preached in a combi. When they started preaching, they were told to shut their mouths. They kept on preaching and there was a man who closed Brother Tendai’s mouth but brother Tavonga took over. Brother Tendai was slapped and this didn’t stop them from preaching.

ü  When Spiritual Movement Crusaders team visited Mushunje High School, one of the students took our number that is written on one of our cars. After some time he called then he asked if we could pray for him.

ü  Another great encounter we had is when we went to one of the ranks we usually preach at, a young girl passed by and she later came back and started taking videos. Sister Tsitsi approached the girl and she started testifying about her life. She removed her jersey to cover herself for she was not dressing properly. She then accepted Christ and has been in touch with us since then

We pray for increased fruitfulness in our efforts and wisdom for future outreach strategies. In conclusion, our quarterly street evangelism outreach was a blessing and we are grateful for the opportunities to share the word of God and to help restore true worship.
