Mushawevana Crusade

In 2024 the movement went under investigation 7 men were arrested denied bail and sent to prison awaiting trial. Children were taken to social welfare and kept there for 10 days. The great thing is both groups realized that God had allowed this so that they could spread the gospel in these places.

Day: 1 27/04/24 The day was good though patakasvika takabva taenda muoffice maMrs Tsatyai, she is one of the admin members. She asked us about how we were baptized in the Holy Spirit and we responded. We denounced her because of the way she was dressed, but at first, she justified herself. Her responds were as though she was not accepting that through wearing trousers you are attracting people of the opposite sex. But after denouncing her she started wearing knee length skirts and dresses. We asked for permission to preach but she refused. Around six in the evening we gathered some girls to have a short service and some of us gave our testimonies about how God saved but we were disturbed by Mr Mushonga and other social workers in the middle of giving our testimonies. They also banned us from conducting services but to no avail. We prayed for one hour before sleeping.
Day 2: 28/04/24 Sunday morning, we prayed for fifteen minutes and we were forced to go to church but we denied. Some of us wore black and white since it was a Sunday. Out of ignorance some played until midday. During midday we were moved to Marondera Main Hospital and we were moved to where raped people are tested. We were questioned many useless questions and we responded. After that we returned to where we were residing. The day ended well and before we slept, we prayed for an hour and we had new people namely Tanaka, Precious, Makanaka and Life, joined us during our prayer sessions although it was hard for them.
Day 3: 29/04/24 Monday morning, we prayed for fifteen minutes and they forced us to eat even though they knew we were fasting. They threatened us with all sorts of threats, some of us failed for instance Farlon, Ano and Vivian. The rest of us we stood our ground. They lectured us on many things but it was all in vain because we had God and they don’t have God, so we just turned a deaf ear and a blind. They later gave up on us and we rejoiced! We met our parents during lunch at Marondera Hospital. We had our evening service and we made another request to Mrs Tsatsayi to grant us permission to preach but she refused. The day was well spent.
Day 4:30/04/24 The day before, I had asked God to wake me up for the 4.30 prayer. To my surprise, I woke up around 4.30. I was amazed because that had never happened before and I woke up other girls and we prayed. Later on, during the day we went to the police station and the hospital. Lastly, we had a service.
Day 5: 01/05/24 Wednesday morning God woke me up again for the 4.30 prayer and we prayed. This time they didn’t not force us to eat or threaten us. To end the day, we had a service.
Day 6: 02/05/24 During the 4.30 prayer God told me that He doesn’t like excuses, we were there because God wanted the people who stay there to know the true Gospel. Since we were not allowed to preached, we shared our testimonies with the people who stayed there. After the prayer I instructed everyone to testify to everyone who stayed there and to preach one on one since we were not allowed to preach publicly. We also invited them(girls) to the evening services we were having but none attended. We still testified to each other.
Day 7: 03/05/24 On Friday we had our morning prayer. Managed to invite and testified to two more people. Only two people made it to the evening service Tatenda and Life. They chose to watch Mr. Bones over God, why? When we reminded them to attend service they said only after they are done with Mr. Bones. At the end of the day, they did not attend.
Day 8: 04/05/24 On Saturday we continued with our evangelism and managed to invite one more person. We were done with the girls and mothers. One of the biggest prosecutors Mrs. Mhlanga, we overheard her complaining that our prayers were irritating her. To mark the end of the day we had a service.
Day 9: 05/05/24 On Sunday God told me that we should have a combined service with the boys. At first, I didn’t know the reason behind God telling me that but only to realize that the boys were not preaching at all, even waking up for 4.30 prayers. Our first combined service was conducted by Br. Vincent and Br. Tanaka shared the word of God. Before we had our service, we asked for a place to conduct the service from the admin members and they gave us the place and a time limit of an hour and thirty minutes. Our first service ended around 13.00 hours even though we had started service at 10.00 hours in the morning exceeding the time limit. We commenced our second service and Str. Eliza was the master of ceremony and I gave the word of God. The service ended around 15.30 hours.
Day 10: 06/05/24 The boys were also preaching and having 4.30 prayers and 14.00 prayers. On the girls’ side, we had our prayers from 10.00 to 11.00 daily. We followed up on those who had received Christ, preaching to them and encouraging them. We preached to 15 girls, only 8 received Christ. None of the mothers received Christ. We made sure that everyone who stays there knew Christ. NB: We continued with our evangelism and services every day until we were all released.
