CHERUTOMBO CRUSADE REPORT

Date: Monday 11 – Wednesday 20 October 2021

Theme: Jesus, the Light of the world.

Cherutombo Crusade was our longest crusade to date and went on for a week and a half. It was also special because it was also the groundbreaking crusade for Nyameni Assembly Church. The Tent was pitched on the very spot where the church is to be built. It was also a bit emotional at the end as we were preparing to for Rev. P.D. Zinyama’s departure for the Kenya Tour!

The Crusade

The services started at 5pm daily and ended around 8pm. The Team pitched the Tent on a very windy Sunday and had a great time securing the tent. What is very special about this crusade, when looking back, is the kind of testimonies that were given. People testified like never before, it was truly the work of God! Jesus was truly shining His light into the hearts of the people! Before every service we would set up the tent and then go to do evangelism in the streets. This is also the first crusade we held on a Sunday. We held the service at 5pm as usual, to allow people to attend services at their churches. Spiritual Movement Crusaders’ main business is to preach Jesus and bring back true worship to the Church. We are non-denominational and this is why we tell people to go back to their churches and worship. We believe we are building the Body of Christ which is not made up of one church or one race but is made up of anyone who truly believes and is saved by Jesus Christ. The last service commemorated the groundbreaking of Nyameni Assembly of God Church and Reverend Zinyama wore a helmet that day! He dug a hole in the ground in the Tent to signal the beginning of the laying of the foundation of the church.

Kenya Tour

On this last day, Reverend Zinyama also bid farewell to the church as he was now making the final preparations for the tour in Kenya. This is also Spiritual Movement Crusaders first international tour!

Fundraising

We continued selling our Spiritual Movement gear during this crusade. Food was sold on Sunday afternoon, just before the service started. We take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us to date.
